Just an observation on water storage. If you buy bottled water, it will last
longer than self-stored water, but it's HORRIBLY expensive.

A better solution is to get a quality water filter. It will purify
lake/pond/puddle water (in case utility-water is cut off) and takes up little
extra space. The AquaRain, for example, filters to 0.2 microns absolute and
will handle 30,000 to 60,000 gallons of water. Water cost is something like
.003 cents/gallon, and you don't have to use harmful chemicals to store water
long-term. Plus, it's gravity-operated, so it uses no energy.

You also save *tons* of space ... which can be used for food storage.

It's real affordable at http://www.internet-grocer.net/aqua.htm

Hope this helps!
